This two room schoolhouse is situated in the middle of a construction camp in Phuket Thailand. Migrants from Myanmar, with little resources, these children are assimilating into an unfamiliar culture.
I interviewed the students, and asked them if they could be anything, what they would want to be when they grow up- the overwhelming response....a construction worker. This is their life. Based in reality, dreaming of big things seems squashed by the day to day reality of survival.
